Modi praised the doctors and medical professionals from India who are working in quake-hit Venezuela as part of Operation Amistad, saying their selfless service is a shining example of the medical community’s commitment to helping those in need.

The prime minister emphasized the crucial role doctors will play in building a Viksit Bharat, focusing on preventive healthcare, medical research, innovation, and accessible healthcare for all. He also appreciated the efforts of chartered accountants in creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive and opportunities to expand for all, as the country strives to become a developed nation.

Modi highlighted the significant progress made in strengthening India’s healthcare ecosystem over the last decade, with the number of medical colleges more than doubling and a substantial increase in undergraduate and postgraduate medical seats. This growth is creating greater opportunities for aspiring doctors and ensuring quality medical care reaches every corner of the country.

The prime minister also conveyed his greetings to the chartered accountant fraternity, acknowledging their role as trusted partners in India’s economic journey.
