On June 12, the Karnataka Social Club Bahrain hosted its annual Prince and Princess Contest at its premises in Manama, bringing together members of the Mangalorean community in Bahrain. With over five decades of serving the entertainment and cultural needs of its members, the club provided a platform for 35 children to showcase their talents and confidence. The participants, aged between 4 and 12, competed in two age categories. Ms. Ferrel Rodrigues, a Bahrain-based beauty queen, led the younger contestants onto the catwalk, while former Prince and Princess contestant Aliyana Pereira guided the older ones. The event featured a fun-filled game, sports awards presentation, and a lively session of line dancing. The judging duo, Sandhya D’Souza and Karen Pinto, commended the participants for their exceptional talent and confidence. Thalia Fernandes and Anvik R. Bhandari were crowned Little Princess and Little Prince, respectively, in the junior category, while Sadie Lobo and Warren Aranha won the Princess and Prince titles in the senior category. Special awards were presented to Raisil Nazareth and Giselle Danthis. The winners were crowned by Ms. Michelle D’Souza, a distinguished beauty pageant title holder, and the winners’ sashes were presented by the Club President, Cletus Rodrigues, and Assistant General Secretary, Herman D’Souza.
