On June 27, Anuradha B Hadimani, Deputy Director of the District Women and Child Development Department, emphasized the importance of training in professional life while inaugurating a one-day training workshop in Udupi. The event was organized in collaboration with the District Women and Child Development Department, District Empowerment Department for Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens, District Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities, and the Indian Red Cross Organization Udupi District Unit. Ratna Suvarna, Welfare Officer of the District Disabled and Senior Citizens Empowerment Department, presided over the workshop. Dr. Ashok Kumar Y.G, Chairman of the District Red Cross, was the chief guest.
The workshop aimed to enhance the expertise of rehabilitation workers from Udupi, Brahmavara, and Kapu taluk levels. Jayashree, the nodal officer of the District Rehabilitation Center, welcomed the participants, and Dr. Gananath Shetty, Red Cross Secretary, presented the program and felicitated the guests. The resource persons included Shivaji, Project Assistant, Jayashree, Nodal Officer, Dr. Shreya, Physiotherapist, Vaishakh Varambally, Psychologist, Nelisha Merrill Naik, Speech and Hearing Specialist, Niranjan Bhat, Retired Officer, Dr. Kavya T, Doctor from Baliga Hospital, and Dr. Gananath Shetty, Member Secretary of the Rehabilitation Center for Disabled.
