On Monday, September 21, 2026, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman introduced the EXOBOT line – a sedan and an SUV – marking CEER's debut in electric mobility.
The launch aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, the kingdom's sweeping plan to diversify industry and nurture a homegrown automotive sector. Speaking at the ceremony, the Crown Prince, who also chairs the Public Investment Fund (PIF), said the new models will help build a sustainable industrial ecosystem and boost the automotive contribution to economic growth.
EXOBOT is the first offering in a roadmap that foresees seven CEER models over the next five years, ranging from compact to midsize vehicles with varied propulsion options. Production will take place at the CEER Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City, situated within the King Salman Automotive Cluster – touted as the largest automotive plant in the Middle East and among the world's most advanced facilities.
Both vehicles were designed and engineered locally, drawing styling cues from Saudi Arabia's landscapes and cultural heritage while meeting international standards, according to PIF.
Economic projections for CEER are ambitious. By 2034, the company is expected to add more than SAR 30 billion (USD 8 billion) to the kingdom's GDP and improve the trade balance by over SAR 80 billion (USD 21 billion), while generating direct and indirect employment.
Established in 2022, CEER was created to foster a domestic industrial ecosystem, attract investment and open opportunities for private‑sector players. In June 2024, the firm signed an SAR 8.2 billion (USD 2.18 billion) deal with South Korea's Hyundai Transys to supply integrated electric‑vehicle drive systems – a motor, inverter and reduction gear combined – for a ten‑year period starting in 2027, covering the upcoming sedan and SUV.
The EXOBOT rollout signals Saudi Arabia's intent to position itself as a regional and global hub for automotive innovation, with the Crown Prince emphasizing the sector's role in drawing investment, nurturing talent and expanding private‑sector participation.
