On July 31, 2026, a Bengaluru woman took to social media to allege that a Zepto delivery executive attempted to enter her home multiple times despite her refusals. The woman claimed the executive arrived at her residence with an order and requested a bottle of drinking water, which she provided. However, he returned after finishing the water and asked for another bottle, and then repeatedly requested permission to enter her house for a few minutes. Despite her firm declines, the executive continued to insist, even ringing the doorbell and knocking on the gate, causing her significant discomfort and fear.

The woman criticized Zepto’s customer support system, stating that the grievance redressal mechanism was inadequate. She urged the company to investigate the incident thoroughly and implement stronger safeguards for customers. Following her complaint, Zepto terminated the delivery executive’s account and issued directions preventing him from visiting her residence again. The incident has raised concerns over customer safety during home deliveries and highlighted the need for robust complaint redressal mechanisms by delivery platforms, particularly after a similar case in Bengaluru where a delivery executive was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a woman after entering her apartment without permission.
