On 16 August 2026, Karnataka Sangha Sharjah partnered with Friends of India (FOI) to host a blood donation camp at the Dubai Health Authority headquarters in Al Jaddaf, commemorating India’s 80th Independence Day.
The event carried the slogan “Service to the Nation is Service to Humanity” and attracted a steady stream of volunteers eager to contribute a unit of blood for patients in need. Participants highlighted the collective responsibility that underpins a caring society.
Consul General of India in Dubai, Dr. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, inaugurated the camp and was honoured by Karnataka Sangha Sharjah President Vishwanath Shetty and Managing Committee Director Praveen Kumar Shetty, with members of the Advisory Committee in attendance.
Planning and execution relied on the dedication of the Managing Committee directors, Advisory Committee members and the Executive Committee of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah. Their coordinated effort ensured smooth registration, medical screening and post‑donation care.
Organisers expressed sincere gratitude to every donor, volunteer and supporter whose involvement turned a national celebration into a tangible act of humanitarian service. The drive reinforced the message that patriotism can be demonstrated through deeds that directly benefit the wider community.
