On June 29, in Mangaluru, DYFI district secretary Santosh Bajal questioned whether those who looted Ram Mandir funds would refrain from looting the nation’s wealth. Bajal was speaking at a harmony meeting and talent award ceremony organized by the DYFI Bajal Pachaladka unit at the Bhagat Singh Bhavan in Bajal Pachaladka. The event was held to commemorate the 24th anniversary of the martyrdom of Comrade Srinivas Bajal.
Bajal criticized the BJP government’s policies, stating that they have been protecting corporate interests while promoting communal politics. He also condemned the violence and attacks on secular and left parties that oppose the BJP’s ideology. Bajal emphasized that the DYFI organization has a history of sacrificing lives for the country’s cause and is committed to continuing the struggle for peace, harmony, and people’s rights.
The event was attended by various local leaders, including Sunil Kumar Bajal, B. Nagesh Shetty, Lawrence D’Souza, Yousuf Pachaladka, Ashok Salyan, Geeta Jalligudda, and Yash Raj. The meeting was presided over by DYFI Bajal Pachaladka unit president Prakash Shetty, and DYFI leader Dheeraj Bajal welcomed the guests. Jagadish Bajal compered the program, and Deepak Bajal proposed the vote of thanks.
Awards were given to students who scored the highest marks in the SSLC exam at the Bajal level, and scholarships were distributed to local students. The event aimed to promote harmony and recognize the achievements of local students.
