Udupi: Heavy rains damaged more than 20 houses.

Udupi July 15 : Udupi district has been experiencing heavy rains for the past few days. Twenty houses were damaged by a heavy rainstorm in the district. Eighteen of them were partially damaged, and two were completely damaged. More than ten lakh rupees was estimated as the loss for the entire district.In Kundapur Taluk Uppin kudru, Basroor, Sankaranarayana, and Wakwadi four houses have been completely destroyed, and three have been partially damaged.

An estimated 1,50,000 rupees was lost due to damage sustained to three houses in Kambaakone, and Shirur. A total of three houses in Brahmavara, Heradi, Aroor, and Waddarsay were partially damaged, resulting in an estimated cost of Rs 85,000.There was a partial damage to a house in Malkadka, Karkala, which caused an estimated loss of Rs 15,000.
