Mangaluru witnessed the felicitation of JFM Krishnamurthy Haikady on Sunday, as the dedicated trainer and social worker received the 'Prerana Award–2026'. The honor was conferred during the 'Aarohana Training Conference–2026', hosted at Jeppu Palemar Garden.
Haikady has continuously dedicated himself to education, skill development, and community service. His extensive work across these fields earned him the prestigious award, acknowledging his significant impact on youth and society in coastal Karnataka.
An M.A. B.Ed. graduate, Haikady initiated his JCI service in 2018 through JCI Brahmavara Sevame. By 2023, he led the organization as its president, achieving 100% efficiency and securing Zone-level awards. His expertise was further recognized in 2024 when he became a JCI Zone Trainer, subsequently joining the JCI Shankaranarayana unit to conduct numerous training programs.
Beyond his JCI commitments, Haikady functions as a Domain Skill Trainer at the National Academy of RUDSETI. He also imparts specialized training in Photography & Videography and Travel and Tour Guide services, equipping individuals with practical skills crucial for employment and entrepreneurship. As president of Smart Creations Education Trust (R), Haikady, he actively champions education and various social initiatives, particularly focusing on youth skill development and community welfare. His wide-ranging training modules cover topics from effective communication and personality development to goal setting, time management, and women empowerment.
The 'Prerana Award–2026' acknowledges Haikady's continuous and multifaceted contributions to the training sector. JMF Yogeesh Kanchan, President of JCI Shankaranarayana, along with the Secretary, members, and past presidents, unanimously chose him for this distinction, celebrating his roles as a professional photographer, JCI trainer, RUDSETI Domain Skill Trainer, educational institution president, and active social worker.
