On 13 August 2026 the Jaya Shree Krishna Parisara Premi Samiti organised a social get-together at the Fortune Atrium in Dubai, bringing together prominent NRI Kannadigas, industrialists and community leaders.

Founder Thonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty presided over the ceremony while Sarvotham Shetty, convener of the UAE Samiti, delivered the welcome address. Distinguished guests included Dr. Ronald Colaco, NRI Distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Directors (India-Global), Dr. B. R. Shetty, UAE‑based industrialist, Dharmapal Devadiga, president of Vishwa Devadiga Mahamandala, Ronald Pinto, Hidayath Adur and Frank Fernandes.

The programme commenced with the lighting of a traditional lamp by the dignitaries, a gesture meant to represent knowledge, unity and service. Dr. Ronald Colaco then presented the keynote address, urging community participation, environmental responsibility and collective action for a sustainable future.

In his introductory remarks, Thonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty outlined the Samiti's objectives, emphasizing its work in environmental protection and social welfare. Dr. B. R. Shetty, Dharmapal Devadiga and Frank Fernandes praised the organisation's initiatives and extended best wishes for its continued impact.

Speakers highlighted that development and environmental stewardship must proceed together. They advocated for balanced industrialisation, tourism and commercial activity in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district and Coastal Karnataka, noting that responsible growth can generate local jobs and help eradicate poverty.

Environmental protection messages stressed the duty of every individual to keep air, water and land clean, conserve resources and ensure that development follows eco‑friendly practices.

A call for social harmony echoed through the gathering: loving one's own caste and religion is a duty, but respecting all castes and religions is the supreme responsibility. Mutual respect and peaceful coexistence were presented as foundations of progress.

At the close of the event, Thonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty honoured Dr. Ronald Colaco and Dr. B. R. Shetty for their contributions to environmental awareness, social service and industrial development. The evening served as a platform for networking among NRI Kannadigas and reinforced the Samiti's commitment to environmental and social causes.
