Mangalorean vascular surgeon, scientist, sportsman, and inventor Dr. Dinker B. Rai officially unveiled his innovative golf-alignment tools, Rai's Super T and Rai's Device, on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The launch event took place at the prestigious Village Club of Lake Success in Great Neck, New York, introducing a new approach to a persistent challenge in golf.
Golfers frequently grapple with alignment, often relying on an imaginary line from their ball to the target. This mental process becomes complicated once they assume their stance, as the line is no longer visible. Dr. Rai's system transforms this subjective method into an objective visual guide. His inventions feature a directional limb positioned towards the selected target, while a perpendicular alignment limb assists in guiding the clubface and body into proper position.
Rai's Super T is specifically designed for use on the golf course, allowing the ball to be placed directly on the tee. For practice and instructional settings, Rai's Device serves golfers at the driving range, facilitating consistent setup and aiding in the development of crucial swing-path memory.
The launch programme at the Village Club gathered golfers, club members, friends, and community leaders for an evening dedicated to innovation and improved performance. Master of Ceremonies Tito Singh guided the event with warmth and rhythm. A key highlight was a panel discussion moderated by Rajiv Rudra of RR Golf Academy, where Village Club Pro Robi Mistretta and Dr. Rai discussed the practical importance of alignment, the invention's journey, and its potential value for players, instructors, and students of the game. The presentation also included instructional and biographical videos.
Professional endorsements bolstered the launch, with insights from Amandeep Jhol, a professional golfer and former Chief Executive Officer of the Professional Golf Tour of India; Adam Laird, a golf professional at North Shore Country Club; and Rishi Narain, an Asian Games golf gold medallist. Guests had the opportunity to examine the products at a display counter and interact directly with the inventor.
