On Sunday, August 10, a free health check-up camp was held at Rosario Cultural Hall in Mangaluru, attracting a sizable crowd of devotees and local community members. The event was jointly organized by the Women’s Commission, Family Commission, and ICYM Rosario of Rosario Cathedral, in association with Father Muller Medical College Hospital and the Indian Cancer Society. The primary goal of this initiative was to educate people about the importance of preventive health and provide them with medical consultations and basic health check-ups. A team of doctors and health experts from Father Muller Medical College Hospital offered a range of services, including ECG, Ear-Nose-Throat check-ups, general medical check-ups, blood sugar tests, and more. The camp was inaugurated by Fr. Valerian D’Souza, parish priest of Rosario Cathedral, who lit the lamp to mark the beginning of the program. Dr. Elroy Saldanha from Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Ranjith from the Indian Cancer Society, and other dignitaries were present at the event. The services provided at the camp also included obstetrics and gynecology check-ups, surgical oncology, breast check-ups, Pap smear, eye check-ups, speech and hearing check-ups, and medicine distribution. The event was well-received by the community, and the organizers were pleased with the turnout.
