On August 10, the Haj Committee of India, Government of India, announced an extension of the advance payment deadline for the 2027 Haj pilgrimage to August 17, following requests from Haj pilgrims and state Haj committees. This decision was communicated through a circular issued by Shanawaz C, the Chief Executive Officer of the Haj Committee. The circular provides essential instructions for pilgrims who have not yet made the required payment.
Selected pilgrims must pay an advance of 1,52,300 before the new deadline. This applies to all pilgrims, including those who opted for the Short Haj Package. Payments can be made online via the Haj Committee’s website or the Haj Suvidha App using credit card, debit card, or net banking. Alternatively, pilgrims can deposit the amount at State Bank of India or Union Bank of India branches using a ‘Pay-in-Slip’, ensuring the ‘Bank Reference Number’ is mentioned on the challan.
Ashraf Thangal Adoor, a member of the Karnataka Haj Committee, emphasized that failure to make the payment by August 17, 2026, will result in the cancellation of Haj seats without prior notice. A separate circular will be issued soon, providing details on payment receipts, document submission, and further procedures.
