Dr. Mrinal Shetty, Professor and Head of the Department of Orthopaedics, welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to the management for approving and procuring the MAKO SmartRobotics System. He noted that this technology represents a transformative step in joint replacement surgery, allowing surgeons to deliver greater precision and improved clinical outcomes. The system, valued at Rupees 6 Crore, offers comprehensive robotic assistance for Total Knee Replacement, Total Hip Replacement, and Partial Knee Replacement. Manufactured by Stryker, USA, the MAKO SmartRobotics System combines advanced robotic technology with patient-specific CT-based three-dimensional surgical planning, enabling surgeons to perform joint replacement procedures with exceptional precision and consistency.
