Maulana Fazlur Rahim Mujaddidi, General Secretary of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, emphasized the importance of resolving family and personal disputes through Darul Qaza during a meeting in Mangaluru on Tuesday. Speaking as the chief guest at the event, organized by Iqra Arabic School and HIF India, Mujaddidi stressed that avoiding civil courts would help prevent unnecessary judicial interference in matters related to Sharia and Muslim personal law. The meeting, held at the HIF Auditorium in Vas Lane, brought together Muslim intellectuals to discuss current affairs and their responsibilities.
Mujaddidi explained the objectives and activities of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, highlighting the need to protect Muslim personal law in India. He urged Muslims to strengthen Islamic values in their families and pass them on to the next generation. Instead of reacting emotionally to contemporary challenges, Mujaddidi advised the community to face them with unity, a clear vision, and a long-term strategy. Muhammad Kunhi, Director of Shanti Prakashana, delivered the introductory speech, discussing the increasing challenges faced by the Muslim community, including the Citizenship Amendment Act and National Register of Citizens.
The program was presided over by Maulana Salim Khalifa Nadwi, Principal of Iqra Arabic School, who emphasized the need for collective action to protect Muslim personal law in India. Prominent scholars, religious leaders, and community members participated in the event, which aimed to promote a culture of resolving disputes through Darul Qaza and addressing contemporary challenges with a clear vision and strategy.
