On Tuesday, Congress leader Abhishek Ullal alleged that despite scams worth crores in Ayodhya, Hindu organizations including the RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad have remained silent. Ullal, a member of the Sri Ram Mandir committee, made these statements at a press conference at the Tokkottu Press Club. He claimed that the BJP, which came to power on the back of Hindu sentiments, is now silent on the issue of Ram Mandir.
Ullal stated that Prime Minister Modi, who performed the Bhoomi Pujan and Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya, has not responded to the alleged irregularities. He also questioned why Hindu organizations, which have been vocal about Hindu issues, are now silent on this matter. Ullal emphasized that the Congress party has always respected the democratic process and the judiciary, and has not opposed the construction of the Ram Mandir.
He demanded a thorough investigation into the allegations of financial irregularities in the Ram Mandir Trust and asked why the RSS and other Hindu organizations are silent on this issue. Ullal also questioned how those who came to power in the name of religion can protect the country if they cannot protect the temple. He expressed disappointment that such allegations are being made about a sacred site like Ayodhya, where the Supreme Court had allowed the construction of the Ram Mandir.
Ullal also referred to the statement of former BJP MP Brij Bhushan and demanded a thorough investigation into the allegations of irregularities. He emphasized that the truth must be revealed without any influence or pressure. Ullal also asked why the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Adityanath, has not taken any action against those responsible for the alleged irregularities.
Former Ullal City Council Vice President Dinesh Rai also spoke at the press conference and questioned the silence of RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat on this issue. Rai asked why Bhat, who has been vocal about Hindu issues, is not speaking out against the alleged irregularities in Ayodhya.
