On Sunday afternoon, a massive truck became stuck on National Highway 66 in Panambur, causing a 45-minute traffic jam. The incident occurred when a trailer carrying a large machine got stuck at a turn, completely blocking the road and forcing vehicles to queue up for kilometers on the Mangaluru-Udupi highway. As a result, tourists and Sunday travelers were stranded, facing difficulties. After about 45 minutes of continuous effort, the trailer was finally removed, and traffic returned to normal. Motorists who were stuck in the jam were frustrated and demanded restricted traffic hours. The traffic congestion was caused by a large container getting stuck while taking a turn on the highway, but it has been cleared, and arrangements have been made for smooth traffic flow. According to Najma Farooqui, Deputy Commissioner of Mangaluru City Traffic Division, a case will be registered against the driver of the huge container.
