In Udupi, the Agriculture Department has initiated the crop survey for the current monsoon season. To facilitate this process, a mobile app has been developed, enabling farmers to conduct the survey themselves. Farmers with an FID number from the Department’s Fruits software can download the Monsoon Farmers Crop Survey 2026-27 app from the Google Play Store. After selecting Aadhaar verification through e-KYC and entering their Aadhaar number, they will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number. Upon verifying the OTP, the app will download information on all lands linked to the farmer’s FID number. The next step involves selecting the survey number, hissa, and owner’s name, followed by recording crop details and uploading a photo. The app is user-friendly, and farmers without an FID number can obtain one by contacting the nearest agriculture or horticulture department office. The collected data will be utilized for disaster relief distribution, support price schemes, crop insurance, and other initiatives. The Joint Director of Agriculture encourages farmers to take advantage of this opportunity to accurately record crop details for their land survey numbers using the mobile app, ensuring the success of the Monsoon-2026-27 crop survey.
