On June 1, in Udupi district, 54,458 census forms were distributed to voters, marking a significant step in the Special Voter List Revision (SIR) process. This achievement covers 5.12% of the total target of 10,63,876 voters, according to District Election Officer Swaroop T.K. The SIR process involves the distribution of enumeration forms to all voters in the district, with 1,112 trained Polling Station Level Officers (BLOs) assigned to this task. These officers will visit every house in the constituency to ensure all voters receive the forms. The door-to-door campaign is set to begin on June 30 and will run until July 29, with the digitization of submitted forms taking place during the same period. As of July 1, the breakdown of form distribution in Udupi district is as follows: Byndur has 11,197 forms distributed out of 2,41,863 total voters, Kundapur has 9,687 forms distributed out of 2,12,473 voters, Udupi has 11,782 forms distributed out of 2,21,680 voters, Kapu has 10,689 forms distributed out of 1,94,718 voters, and Karkala has 11,103 forms distributed out of 1,93,142 voters.
