On August 22, Udupi Chikkamagaluru MP Kota Srinivasa Pujari addressed the media in Udupi, discussing the Ram Mandir Hundi scam and its far-reaching implications. Pujari stated that the scandal has negatively impacted the country, the BJP, and the Sangh Parivar. As a sacred site for Hindus, Ram Mandir holds significant economic influence, and the accused individuals were promptly arrested in connection with the scam. The Chief Minister has assured that those responsible will face punishment. Pujari also responded to Minister Priyank Kharge’s queries regarding the RSS registration issue, emphasizing the organization’s pro-people and patriotic values. He highlighted the RSS’s century-long history and its participation in the Republic Day parade, earning appreciation from Jawaharlal Nehru. Pujari urged citizens to support the electoral roll revision process, intended to strengthen the country’s democratic system. However, he warned against potential misuse of official stay confirmation letters, which could be exploited to wrongly benefit Bangladeshi residents working in coffee plantations. Pujari threatened to file a complaint with the Central Election Commission if such fraudulent activities are discovered.
