On June 28, Udupi Yakshagana Kalaranga organized a special program called 'Suru Noorar Sadagara' at the IYC Sabhabhavan in Udupi to mark the handover of its 100th house to a poor family. Srivishwavallabhathirtha Swamiji of Udupi Sode Vadiraja Mutt inaugurated the program, emphasizing the importance of Yakshagana in preserving Dharma prajja. He also appreciated the organization's efforts in promoting art and social service. Vice-Chancellor of Mahe, Dr. H.S. Ballal, suggested that houses should be built not only for talented students but also for all poor students, enabling them to study in a better environment and become talented. He announced plans to build 50 houses over five years for poor students from Mahe. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including MLAs Yashpal Suvarna, Gurme Suresh Shetty, Kiran Kodgi, and Gururaj Gantihole. M. Raghavendra Bhat, MD & CEO of Karnataka Bank, released the 'Suru Noorar' volume, while Ananda C. Kunder of Geetananda Foundation Kota gave the eulogy. The organization honored the sponsors, laborers, and helpers who contributed to the construction of the 100 houses. The 100th house was built for a second PUC student, Sinchanali, in Kulmunda village, Hebri taluk, at a cost of 7 lakhs, sponsored by VidyaPoshak. The house was inaugurated by Dr. Udaya Kumar Saralattaya, Dewan of Pariya Shiruru Math.
