Weather Report: No monsoon charm for the state; See rain and plant

Bangalore: Southwest Monsoon is playing hide and seek in the state. Even though June is over and July is coming, the monsoon is strong in some places, while it is weak in the interior. If there is rain news on the coast, the weather report in the interior is average.

The Weather Department has issued a warning of thunder and lightning in some parts of Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Udupi along with Dharwad and Shimoga in the next 24 hours. Wind speed is likely to reach 40 km per hour at this time. It is advised to be careful while driving in this background.

A few parts of almost all the districts are likely to receive thundershowers till July 5. There is a possibility of thunder and lightning rain in coastal Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi from today (Jun. 1-5). Northern interior districts such as Bagalkote, Belgaum, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Vijayapur, Yadgiri will receive moderate rain at some places from June 1-5. There is no rain forecast in Koppal and Raichur. Drought will continue.

In the south hinterland Chikkamagaluru, Chikkaballapur, Bangalore, Bangalore, Rural, Mysore and Mandya, Ramnagar, Chamarajanagar, Bellary including Chitradurga, Davangere and Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Shimoga, Tumkur, Vijayanagar are likely to experience moderate rain with thunder. On 2nd it is forecast to rain at some places, 3-4 at many places and almost all parts on 5th.

 

Wind speed is 40-50 kmph in south hinterland and it is likely to reach 30-40 kmph in north hinterland. The storm will blow at a speed of 40-50 km per hour on Karnataka coast.
