On Saturday, September 12, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai told a gathering at the Divine Evening Dialogue in Palemar Garden, Mangalore, that a free hospital with a capacity of 50 beds will open in the city within weeks.
The blueprint for the Mangalore facility is already completed, and similar hospitals are slated to be established in every district of Karnataka. Sai said that official details will be released in the coming days.
During the same session, the spiritual leader responded to questions from prominent entrepreneur Ullas Kamath. He highlighted that the Family Mission currently runs educational institutions in 15 Karnataka districts and plans to expand to all districts soon. Through the SaiSure initiative, one crore children are already receiving nutritious meals, and the mission aims to reach five crore children nationwide.
Sai also announced a new higher‑education centre in Mediyal, Alike village, dedicated to the memory of Narayan Bhatta. The centre, focusing on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Computer Science, will commence operations in November, with student admissions opening in June 2027. The project is part of the One World One Service movement and coincides with the centenary celebrations of Narayan Bhatta.
Emphasising the role of corporate social responsibility, Sadguru urged that CSR funds be allocated fairly, granting NGOs the same entitlement to these resources as the government and private companies. He concluded the event by presenting the Karnataka Transformational Award to Dr. M. Mohan Alva, founder of the Alvas Education Group. Dr. Alva invited Sadguru to inaugurate the upcoming Alvas Virasat festival scheduled for January 7‑10.
