PM Modi flags off Vande Bharat Express in Gorakhpur

 

Gorakhpur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday flagged off the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express from Gorakhpur Railway Station. Earlier, he also flagged off the Jodhpur-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express. Apart from this, PM Modi also started the modernization of Gorakhpur railway station. PM Modi called it a new flight for the middle class.

PM Modi said, “Vande Bharat train has given new flight to the middle class of the country for facilities and amenities. Today, leaders from every corner of the country are writing letters to run the Vande Bharat train from our region as well.

He said, “There was a time when leaders used to write letters to make a halt of this train in our area, make a halt of that train. Today, leaders from every corner of the country write letters to me saying that Vande Bharat should be run from my area as well. He said, “It is a craze of Vande Bharat. I congratulate the people of Gorakhpur and the people of the country for all these events.

Anil Kumar Lahoti, Chairman and CEO, Railway Board said, “The timing of Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express is convenient. This train will save two hours as compared to the fastest train on this route.

This train will connect Gorakhpur with Ayodhya and Lucknow. This will benefit tourist places like Kushinagar, Siddharthnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar. Gorakhpur – Lucknow Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high-speed train. Which will have eight coaches, including seven air-conditioned coaches and one executive chair car coach.

Whereas, the Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will improve connectivity between Rajputana and Mahatma Gandhi’s city of Ahmedabad. This train will connect Pali, Abu Road, Palanpur and Mehsana cities on the route. This will benefit the important tourist destinations of the historical cities of Jodhpur and Ahmedabad.
