Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said on the heart-wrenching video case that surfaced from Manipur that the incident that has come to the fore in the state is a shameful incident for any civilized society. Talking to the reporters in the Parliament premises, he said that who are the other people who have committed the crime, they are at their place but the whole country is being insulted. He said that I urge all the Chief Ministers to further strengthen the law and order situation in their states. Take the harshest steps especially to protect our mothers and sisters.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah slammed Manipur Chief Minister N.K. Spoke to Biren Singh. On the other hand, the Supreme Court has also made a sharp comment on this matter. Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud has asked the government to act. The Supreme Court has said that the video of two women being paraded naked in Manipur is really disturbing.
