Opposition meeting: Nitish Kumar rejects ‘discontent’ report

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar has rubbished media reports that he was unhappy with the opposition meeting held in the Karnataka capital Bengaluru.

The media misunderstood the issue of his absence from the press conference held after the meeting of the opposition convention held in Bengaluru. I have no resentment whatsoever. We are all united.. we will face BJP together. Nitish Kumar said that I was absent from the press conference because there was a program in Rajgir.

Speaking on the same issue, JDU President Rajiv Ranjan Singh ‘Lalan’ said that the news that Nitish was upset with the way things were conducted in the opposition meeting was far from the truth. Speaking to reporters in Patna, he described the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance as a ‘dushprachar’ (canard).

All this is just propaganda and rumours, from the NDA led by the honorable Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi. Lalan said the name India had the stamp of approval from all the leaders present at the opposition meeting.

Talking about the speculations that Nitish Kumar will be made the convener, the JDU chief said, “It was not on the agenda of yesterday’s meeting, one can think when the next meeting will be held in Mumbai.”

It was reported that Nitish Kumar was unhappy with the acronym ‘India’ and was upset about not being made the convener of the new coalition.
