Muslims must understand that the BJP came to power in Karnataka because of the Congress: HDK

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy advised Muslims on Thursday to “realise” that the BJP came to power in the state because of the Congress. He asserted that the Congress would never return to power and that “regional parties had the future,” noting the “decline” of national parties in recent assembly elections in five states, including West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and kerala

”The Congress is to blame for the BJP’s current victory in Karnataka. This is something that my Muslim brothers and sisters should be aware of. “It is not because of JD(S) that BJP came to power in the state,” Kumaraswamy, the JD(S) second-in-command, remarked. He was addressing at a ceremony to welcome political workers led by a local leader Kadar Sheikh from Hanagal in north Karnataka into the party office JP Bhavan here.

”Congress does not have the strength to come to power on its own,” the JD(S) leader remarked. Our Muslim brothers and sisters in the state should be aware of this, or else you will continue to face blows.” He said that the Congress won the majority in 2013 because the BJP split into three factions: one One was the BJP and other two led by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, and the other was by Minister Sri Ramulu

”The Congress is divided about who should be the next Chief Minister, despite the fact that elections are two years away. They can’t even wait two years to gain power because they’re so desperate. They’ve started sewing their suits as though they’ve already taken power,” Kumaraswamy added.

People from Hanagal joining the JD(S) is an indicator that the constituency will become “our entryway” to victory in north Karnataka in the 2023 Assembly elections, he said, welcoming Kadar Sheikh. The former Chief Minister stated that every constituency in Karnataka is crucial to the JD(S), and that his party intends to broaden its influence and become a powerful regional party by making its presence felt across the state.

He mocked the Congress’s reported internal feud over who should be the next Chief Minister if the party were to gain power. Following the death of C M Udasi, a six-time BJP MLA and former minister, the Hanagal assembly constituency is now vacant.
