The Saudi Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, spoke about the “The Line” project in “NeumWhich is being implemented today according to the plans approved for it, which after its completion will be a unique engineering and architectural marvel with all its details and standards.

The Saudi Crown Prince confirmed that the Kingdom seeks, through the NEOM project, to create a new civilization for tomorrow and encourage other countries to do similar things for the benefit of the planet.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman, accompanied by senior officials and designers behind the “The Line” project, appeared in a documentary film shown by “Discovery” channel, speaking about the project, the first of its kind in the world.

The crown prince pledged that the end result of the project would be creative and new.

In response to skeptics about Saudi Arabia’s completion of its huge projects, the crown prince said, “Let them speak, and we will continue to prove them wrong.”

Population growth

Regarding the motives for building a new city, the crown prince said: “The population growth in Saudi Arabia will double from 33 million to about 50-55 million people in 2030.” He added, “This number of residents will consume the entire existing infrastructure of the Kingdom, which puts us before a real question about creating a new city.”

As for the beginnings, Prince Muhammad said: “We started talking about a lot of ideas about the shape of the Line. Building a circuit and linking it to transportation, trains, etc., and we will start building it gradually until it is completed in 2030. We exchanged ideas and worked with many teams and put forward a competition for the best designers in the field.” the world.

All of them provided us with city models that are in line with the available models, but with better solutions, except for one designer who adopted the idea and said to turn the circle into a straight line.

He also pointed out that the north of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an area that has not yet been discovered, and has a diverse nature between mountains, valleys, beaches, islands, oases, and sands. It is the right place for skiing and diving.

And Prince Muhammad bin Salman stated that “the models are now complete for us and we are working on implementing them,” adding: “This project meets the growing demand in Saudi Arabia, and manufactures the modern way of building cities and a way of life.”

NEOM project

It is noteworthy that the “NEOM” project is a special area that extends between three countries, including a new vital destination located in northwest Saudi Arabia, that seeks to become a hub that brings the best minds and companies together to cross the boundaries of innovation to the highest levels of human civilization. This special region is designed to outperform major global cities in terms of competitiveness and lifestyle, as it is expected to become a leading center for the entire world.

“NEOM” is a development area full of opportunities, and the project is located in northwestern Saudi Arabia. It includes lands within the Egyptian and Jordanian borders, as it will provide many development opportunities with a total area of ​​26,500 square kilometers. This project has a number of unique advantages, through the good climate and diverse terrain, and the geographical location of the “NEOM” project is unique, as it is cooler than the surrounding areas, as the temperature in it is about 10 degrees Celsius lower than the average temperatures throughout the countries. GCC.
