MUMBAI: The country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) today announced that it will increases prices of its full range of models this month amid several price hikes.

Last year, the company said it was inevitable for the company to shift some of the impact of additional costs on its customers through price increases, as the cost of various vehicles is adversely affected by increased input costs.

The company plans to increase prices in April, and the increase will vary according to different models. However, the company has not disclosed the extent of the proposed price hike.

From January 2021 to March 2022, vehicle prices have increased by about 8.8%. The company sells a number of models in the domestic market, from the Alto to the S-Cross.
