Indian hotel businessman From Kundapur, was the host of Prime Minister In USA

Kundapur : Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three-day stay in Washington was hosted by Anand Poojary, an Indian hotel businessman based in Kundapur. Ananda Poojary and his wife Sumita, who have lived in Washington DC for 35 years, are the owners of the Woodlands Hotel, where the Prime Minister Narendra Modi met them on Friday.

Born to Badiya Poojary and Girija, he lives in Kallangadi, a village in the Byndoor Taluk. Although he is based in the U.S., he frequently visit  his hometown. For the past three years, he has not visited his native place because of lockdown and Covid.

Anand Poojary hosts eminent officials, including union government ministers, when they come to Washington. PM Modi has been hosted by Anand on three occasions so far. A friendly conversation was had by the Poojary couple with Modi on Friday, September 24.
