Heavy rain in Mangalore causes hill collapse
Mangalore: It has been raining heavily for the past two days in Mangalore and an incident has taken place in the outskirts of the city where a hill has collapsed due to rain.
The hillock on K.S. Rao Road has collapsed due to heavy rain and there is a threat of further collapse and the local people are worried. At present, the district administration has covered the place where the hill collapsed with a tarp. Presently PVS-K.S.Rao Road. Traffic is restricted
A holiday has been declared for schools and colleges in Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts due to heavy rains in coastal areas including Mangalore today.
