Manchester: England fast bowler Stuart Broad joined an elite club of Test bowlers by taking his 600th wicket on Wednesday. Broad had 598 wickets in his name before the fourth Test cricket match against Australia (England vs Australia). He dismissed Australian opener Usman Khawaja lbw in the morning session.

He took his 600th wicket immediately after the tea break by getting Travis Head caught by Joe Root. He is the fifth bowler in the world to achieve the feat.

His fellow England fast bowler James Anderson is third in the list with 688 wickets. Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan continues to top the list with 800 wickets. He is followed by Australian legend Shane Warne (708). India’s Anil Kumble (619) is at the fourth position in this list.
