Diamond League: Neeraj Chopra wins Gold for the Second Time in a Row
New Delhi: Tokyo Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra continues his winning streak and has now succeeded in winning a gold medal in the Lausanne Diamond League.
Golden boy Neeraj Chopra: who returned to javelin competition after almost a month of complete recovery from injury, won the gold medal in the prestigious Diamond League series competition held late on Friday night.
Neeraj Chopra, 25, suffered a muscle spasm while practicing last month. Thus, in the last one month, Neeraj Chopra was out of three major competitions. Now in the 5th attempt of the Lussan Diamond League competition, Neeraj Chopra has won the gold medal by throwing the javelin at a distance of 87.66 meters.
Neeraj Chopra, Paul in the first attempt. After this, he threw the javelin 83.52 meters in the second attempt. In the third attempt, Neeraj Chopra threw the javelin at a distance of 85.04 meters. The fourth attempt was Paul.
In the fifth attempt, Neeraj Chopra jumped to the No. 1 position by throwing the javelin at a distance of 87.66 meters. In the sixth attempt, Neeraj Chopra completed his last attempt by throwing a distance of 84.15 meters.
Meanwhile, Germany’s Julian Weber finished second with a throw of 87.03 meters, while Jakob Wedlezek of the Czech Republic settled for third place with a throw of 86.13 meters. Neeraj Chopra had succeeded in winning a gold medal on his debut at the Lussan Diamond League competition held in August last year.
Within a few months, Neeraj Chopra had created history by crowning the champion in the Diamond League Trophy final as well.
