New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said the national capital would have been a safer place if there was law and order under an AAP government instead of a lieutenant governor.
He made this statement after two women were shot dead by unidentified assailants in southwest Delhi’s RK Puram on Sunday morning.
‘Our thoughts are with the families of both women. May his soul rest in peace. People of Delhi are feeling a lot of insecurity. “Those who are responsible for maintaining law and order in Delhi are conspiring to take control of the Delhi government instead of fixing the situation,” Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi.
“Had there been a law and order situation under AAP instead of LG, Delhi would have been much safer,” he said.
AAP had earlier lashed out at Lt Governor VK Saxena, accusing him of deteriorating law and order in the city.
