Covid Positive Case Reduced to 19% in Udupi Distric: DC Jagadeesh

Udupi, May 29 (IANS) Covid positive cases started to declining in the Udupi district, as the case is now 19% as against 38 per cent in the past. “It has now dropped to 19 per cent,” said Udupi District Collector G. Jagadeesh.

Our goal is to reduce the the positive cases in the district to less than 10 per cent by June 7.so that the next Lock down can be avoided. The health department taking 3500 swab every day to identifying the infected cases he said

At present there is no shortage of ICU and ventilator beds in the district. These beds are available to all those who need it . Oxygen consumption is also very low. Previously, about 800 oxygen cylinders were in use and now only 390 cylinders are in use. These is the sign of mild to moderate infections symptoms . This was possible as district administration got the cooperation of public he said.

In the meantime it has been noticed that some people are still not following the rules. While inspecting vehicles in Manipal he found more than 35 vehicles that were operating unnecessarily. And a criminal case has been made the against violators and their vehicles also been seized . Also he warned that stringent action would be taken against violators
