BENGALURU: BMTC collects a fine of Rs 5 lakh from people traveling without tickets.

Bengaluru, July 23 (SO News/Agency) Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has detected 2,677 cases of traveling without tickets during the checking of 13,196 buses in its buses during the last month of June and collected a fine of Rs. 328 cases of women sitting on seats reserved for women in BMTC buses have been detected and fined Rs 32,800 from them. Similarly, in the month of June, a total of 2,955 cases have received a fine of 5.51 lakh rupees. BMTC has initiated disciplinary action against conductors found negligent during duty. BMTC has requested passengers to compulsorily get tickets from conductors while traveling in buses.
