On Oct 12 2026 the Enforcement Directorate attached immovable properties worth about Rs 140 crore belonging to Earth Infrastructure, its subsidiaries and its promoters in Delhi, as part of a money‑laundering investigation into an alleged Rs 2,004 crore fraud that involved more than 19,425 homebuyers and investors.
The Delhi Zonal Office‑II of the agency invoked the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 to freeze the assets. The properties are registered in the names of the firm, its promoters Avdhesh Kumar Goel, Rajneesh Mittal, Atul Gupta and Vikas Gupta, as well as their family members and related entities. With this latest move the cumulative value of assets attached and seized in the case climbs to roughly Rs 352 crore.
The probe originated from five FIRs filed by the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police and a criminal complaint lodged by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office under Section 447 of the Companies Act. According to the ED, the group collected around Rs 2,004 crore from buyers by promising timely delivery of residential and commercial units and guaranteed returns. Many of those projects remain incomplete and possession has not been handed over, leaving investors at a loss.
Investigators say a substantial portion of the money was routed through a network of group entities and then used to acquire both movable and immovable assets in the names of persons linked to the promoters. The agency alleges that the proceeds of the alleged crime funded purchases of land, buildings and other valuables.
In April 2026 the ED carried out searches at several locations across the Delhi‑NCR region. Officers seized cash approximating Rs 6.30 crore, jewellery worth about Rs 8.78 crore and documents related to more than 100 properties valued at over Rs 100 crore.
The four promoters were taken into custody on June 1 under Section 19 of the PMLA after due legal procedures. A chargesheet filed on July 29 seeks their conviction and the confiscation of properties exceeding Rs 212 crore.
As the investigation proceeds, the Enforcement Directorate says the attachment aims to prevent further dissipation of the alleged proceeds and to protect the interests of the aggrieved homebuyers.
