On August 14, in Udupi, a three-day program called Jan Sunvai kicked off as part of Independence Day celebrations. This initiative covers 19 centers in the district, chosen under the Abha Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan scheme by the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and runs from August 13 to 15. The selected centers include Bynduru Town Panchayat, Jadkal and Nada Gram Panchayats of Bynduru Taluk, and several gram panchayats across Kundapur, Brahmavar, Kapu, Hebri, Karkala, and Udupi taluks. The 19 centers are Bynduru Town Panchayat, Jadkal, Nada, Hardalli-Mandalli, Siddhapur, Hemmadi, Kumbashi, Kenjuru, Billadi, Warambali, Yadthadi, Kutyaru, Belve, Waranga, Belman, Marne, Kukkundur, Padebettu, and Alevoor. The program involves 17 departments, aiming to deliver central and state government scheme benefits to the tribal community and provide necessary documentation. Villagers can submit complaints and grievances related to various issues, including Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, and Employment Card, among others, to the concerned authorities. The Integrated Tribal Development Scheme Project Coordinator announced that the program will address issues related to 17 departments in the district, ensuring that the villagers receive the benefits they are entitled to.
