She pointed out that the government is calling it a state subject, yet the BJP had no qualms about using the temple for political gain before the Lok Sabha polls. Gandhi emphasized that the government is shirking its responsibility towards the people by not providing answers in Parliament. She also brought up the recent protests, where youths were beaten, tear-gassed, and shot at with pellet guns, and questioned who ordered such actions. The Congress general secretary highlighted the nationwide donations made to the Ram Temple, saying people gave with faith, and now those donations have vanished. Gandhi targeted the BJP, saying they are now claiming it is a state subject, but when they needed to campaign, it was not a state subject. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who inaugurated the temple, is the prime minister of the country, not just a state, she added.
Gandhi also spoke about the ongoing Parliament logjam, stating that the government does not feel responsible towards the people. The INDIA bloc has been protesting for over three weeks, demanding Home Minister Amit Shah’s presence in the House and a statement from him regarding the Ram temple donation theft and police action against young protesters. Gandhi asked who should be held accountable for the logjam, emphasizing that the government needs to answer for its actions.
