On July 25, Dr. Dinakar Rai, a renowned vascular surgeon, scientist, and sportsman from Mangaluru, launched two innovative golf alignment tools, ‘Rai’s Super T’ and ‘Rai’s Device’, at the Village Club of Lake Success in New York. The event, attended by golfers, club members, professionals, and sports enthusiasts, featured a discussion on the importance of alignment in golf and the development of these tools. Dr. Rai, who has served in the medical field for over five decades, is also an active sportsman and a former national-level cricketer.
The ‘Rai’s Super T’ and ‘Rai’s Device’ are designed to simplify the alignment process in golf, making it more visual and repeatable. The ‘Rai’s Super T’ is a directional guide that can be used directly on the golf course, while the ‘Rai’s Device’ is intended for training and instruction on the practice field. Both tools feature perpendicular direction and alignment components that help golfers identify the target line, adjust their club face, align their body, and develop a consistent swing path.
The event included a demonstration of the tools, training videos, and a discussion with Dr. Rai and his team. The program was hosted by Rajiv Rudra of the RR Golf Academy, and notable guests, including Amandeep Johl, Adam Laerd, and Rishi Narayan, shared their thoughts on the tools. The Village Club of Lake Success and its management committee supported the event, and Dr. Rai expressed gratitude to the club’s golf pro, Robi Mistretta, for his guidance and encouragement.
Dr. Rai’s goal is to make alignment in golf more visual, accurate, and repeatable, using simple geometric principles. The ‘Rai’s Super T’ and ‘Rai’s Device’ are patent-pending inventions that can be used by golfers to improve their game. With these tools, golfers can focus on their swing with confidence, knowing that their alignment is accurate.
