Students Urged to Cultivate Wisdom Alongside Education at Kundapur College Event

Kundapur: Young people navigating the shift from childhood to adulthood must learn to distinguish right from wrong, warned Subrahmanya Shetty, President of the Kundapur Taluk Public Awareness Forum. Speaking at the 'Swasthya Sankalpa' programme held at Shetty P.P. Pre-University College, Shetty emphasised that a single bad influence, a wrong action, or an addiction could prove life-threatening. 'Everyone should have wisdom along with education,' he said, addressing students gathered for the event.

The programme was organised under the aegis of the Dharmasthala Village Development Organisation in collaboration with Self Help Societies. Umesh Shetty, President of the Kundapur unit of Dharmasthala Village Development – Self Help Societies, took the stage to brief students on the various scholarship opportunities available through the Self Help network.

College Principal Navina Kumar Shetty presided over the function. The proceedings began with an invocation offered by Economics Lecturer Nagaratna. Nagaratna, who also serves as Managing Director of the Kundapur unit of the Dharmasthala Village Development Project, delivered the welcome address. Krishnamurthy DB, head of the college's Kannada department, served as the programme coordinator.

The 'Swasthya Sankalpa' initiative aims to guide students through formative years with awareness and moral clarity, ensuring they build a foundation for a healthy and responsible life.
