On a recent visit to the Embassy of India in Doha, Qatar, the Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. Sandeep Kumar, met with the newly elected Management Committee of Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) led by President Mr. Subramanya Hebbagelu. The meeting took place on behalf of the 2026–28 Executive Committee, aiming to introduce its office-bearers and present a roadmap for community engagement, social welfare, and cultural exchange. Mr. Sandeep Kumar shared insights into the Indian diaspora in Qatar, emphasizing the need for a unified approach in organizing community celebrations and welfare initiatives. He encouraged the KSQ to build partnerships with other Indian apex bodies and regional organizations. By adopting a collective approach, Indian associations can better showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage in Qatar. The KSQ leadership welcomed his suggestions, reaffirming their commitment to inclusivity and collaboration. The meeting concluded with the KSQ Management Committee presenting Mr. Sandeep Kumar with a traditional shawl and commemorative memento. This courtesy visit marks a significant step towards strengthening community bonds and enhancing the profile of Indian heritage in Qatar.
