On June 29, Karnataka Sena Udupi district officials met with Udupi Municipal Council Commissioner Mahantesh Hangaragi to discuss a pressing issue in the city. The officials submitted a request to address the growing problem of drunkards in public places and the bus stand in Udupi. As the city experiences rapid growth and an influx of tourists, the number of drunkards and destitutes in public areas has increased significantly. The petition highlights the troubles these individuals cause to the public, particularly women, with their noisy behavior and public drunkenness. The Karnataka Sena officials emphasized the need for alternative shelter for the destitute and called for strict action against drunkards, including fines. The organization warned that if the city council fails to take action, they will be forced to take matters into their own hands. The meeting was attended by several key figures, including district president Sujay Pujari, honorary president Lakshmish Shetty, and district vice president Nagaraj. The issue has become a major concern for the city, and the Karnataka Sena is pushing for a solution to ensure public safety and well-being.
