On its fourth day, Akshay Kumar’s comedy film Welcome To The Jungle is performing well at the box office in India, particularly in the Hindi belt states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh, as well as Gujarat. As of Day 4, the film has collected a net of Rs 0.34 Cr, according to Sacnilk’s early estimates, bringing the total India gross collections to Rs 76.90 Cr and total India net to Rs 64.09 Cr so far. Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome To The Jungle marks the third installment in the Welcome franchise and features an ensemble cast, including Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film has fared significantly better than Bhooth Bangla in several key markets, although it was affected by competition from holdover releases and Punjabi comedy Carry On Jatta 4 in East Punjab. With its promising opening weekend and strong weekday hold, Welcome To The Jungle is nearing Rs 80 crore in India. The film’s success can be attributed to its entertaining storyline, which follows a corrupt businessman who schemes to launder black money by producing a fake production that gets trapped in a dangerous border jungle.
