On the occasion of Vanamahotsava, the Vishwakarma friends group in Bhatkala, Kundapur, launched a house-to-house plant campaign, dubbed Manegogu Gida Abhiyan, at the Field Education Officer’s office. The inaugural program, which marked the tenth anniversary of Vanamahotsava, was attended by several dignitaries, including Karnataka State Government Employees Association President M.N. Naik, who inaugurated the event by planting saplings. Ullasa Nayka, Vice President of the District Primary School Teachers’ Association, and Taluk E.C.O Praudha Srinivasa Nayka spoke about the innovative program, highlighting its significance in addressing environmental concerns. The event was also attended by Retired soldiers, BJP District Secretary, Director of Urban Cooperative Bank Bhatkal, Shrikant Naik, and BJP District Secretary Subraya Devadiga, among others. Vishwakarma Friends Association President Gajanana K Acharya Matanadi emphasized the importance of cooperation and support from all members and officers, attributing the association’s success to its social programs. The association honored several members, including Suresh Acharya, Umesh Acharya, and Ganesh Acharya, who have been supporting the program for the last 10 years, with a letter of appreciation and a memento.
