New Delhi/Bangalore: The 9th International Day of Yoga is being celebrated today, June 21, Wednesday, June 21, across the country, including the capital city of Delhi, in the district centers of Karnataka, including the capital city of Bangalore, in many associations and schools and colleges.

President Draupadi Murmu participated in yoga at Rashtrapati Bhavan with the staff and others this morning. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar also participated in the yoga.

PM Modi’s Yoga Day Message: India is the country that brought the importance of yoga to the world. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently on a US tour, will participate in the Yoga Day celebrations to be held at the World Organization.

In a video message on Yoga Day this morning, Prime Minister Modi said that yoga is a global spirit and unites the world. Prime Minister Modi made this statement while presiding over the 9th International Day of Yoga at the United Nations headquarters with representatives from more than 180 countries.

Yoga Day celebration is now a global festival. This year the slogan of yoga is Vasudaiva Kudumbakam and lakhs of people are doing yoga. Yoga unites the world. Prime Minister said that we have to represent India to the world as ‘Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat’.

Central government ministers, staff, officials, Karnataka ministers participated in Yoga Day program today. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah along with his Cabinet Ministers, guests, staff and officials participated in the Yoga Day program in front of Vidhana Soudha.
