Union Govt delegation visited Udupi district to Access the loss Caused by cyclone Tauktae

Udupi : On Thursday, a delegation from the Union government paid a visit to areas in Udupi district that had been ravaged by the recent cyclone [Tauktae]. It was for the purpose of calculating loss.

Uppunda, Madikal, Byndoor, Maravanthe, Kaup, and Padubidri were among the places visited by the team.

Officials from the National Highways Department and the Agriculture Department were among those on the team.

The team was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner G. Jagadeesha and other officials. In the 24 hours ending at 8.30 a.m. on Thursday, the Udupi district got an average of 39.9 mm of rain.
