On August 2, Sunday, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, the written test for direct recruitment of police constable (civil) posts will be held at six highly sensitive examination centers in Udupi district. A total of 2367 candidates will participate in this exam, as announced by District Commissioner Swaroop T K. The district administration and Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) have formulated strict guidelines to ensure complete transparency in the competitive exam, without any malpractices.
Candidates, parents, and the general public must adhere to these guidelines. The exam will start at 10:30 am, and candidates must be present at the examination center by 9:30 am to complete the verification process and security checks. To avoid any delays, it is essential to follow this schedule.
Additionally, the use of electronic devices, such as mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, and calculators, is strictly prohibited within the examination center. Other restricted items include writing materials, such as pens, erasers, and plastic pouches, as well as personal items like handbags, purses, and goggles. Candidates can, however, use the drinking water facilities provided within the examination hall.
KEA has also specified dress code guidelines for the exam. Candidates must wear simple, half-sleeved clothes and avoid wearing jewelry, except for mangalsutra and nose ring for female candidates. Those who wish to wear religious attire must report to the examination center by 8:30 am for special security checks.
To prevent malpractices, jammers have been installed at the examination centers to prevent the use of electronic devices. Webcasting facilities have been set up to monitor each examination center and room, with a command center at the KEA office for real-time surveillance. Face recognition technology will also be used to verify candidates’ identities.
