Udupi: The district police have issued deportation orders against three more individuals with criminal records, bringing the total number of rowdies expelled from the district to 14 over the past year. Superintendent of Police, who also serves as the Special Executive Magistrate, signed the order on June 24, directing the accused to report to police stations outside Udupi.
Among those exiled is Mohammad Danish Madani (23), a resident of Hazuma Manzil, Mavinakatte, Gulwadi. Police have registered cases against him for murder and attempt to murder, with a rowdysheeter sheet opened at Kundapur Rural Police Station. He has been sent to Shikaripura Nagar Police Station in Shimoga district.
Karani Museen (44), from Kavradi village, Kandluru, faces seven criminal cases. His rowdysheeter sheet is maintained at the same Kundapur rural station, and he has been deported to Gandhi Ganja Police Station in Bidar district.
Ilyas (36), a resident of Chandranagar in Padur village under Shirva Police Station limits, has 15 cases against him. Police describe him as a rowdy from Shirva station. He has been ordered to report to Karwar Nagar Police Station in Uttara Kannada district.
According to police records, the three accused together face 30 cases covering murder, attempt to murder, stone pelting at police stations, house and cattle theft, cattle killing, and assault linked to rowdyism.
The Udupi district police have intensified action against illegal activities over the last year. Officials confirmed that three persons were arrested under the PIT NDPS Act, four were jailed under the Goonda Act, and 14 have now been deported. The department stated these measures will continue to preserve public peace and order across the district.
