Udupi: No Marriages in District till June 7 – Commissioner Jagadeesh

Udupi, May 24 (IANS) Carona infection has been spreading from marriage in Udupi district . So Marriage is not allowed from May 25 to June 7. Only permitted weddings till 24 th May is allowed Udupi District Collector G Jagadeesh said

The DC, who attended a video conference with district in-charge minister Basavaraj Bommai and MLAs of the district on Monday May 24 said that It has been noticed that some people doing engagement in marriage permission but it is not permissible. Similarly, Mehndi is also not permitted . The criminal case will be filed not only against the program operator but also take action against the participants.

As bakery owners have requested for permission to let them open the shops as there are perishable items, bakeries can be opened on Wednesdays from 6 am to 10 am. Perishable items should be disposed

The storm has caused considerable damage to the electrical assets in the district, Due to this, on Wednesday only, shops dealing with electrical items can operate from 6-10 am
